78L33 PDF Datasheet – 3.3V, Voltage Regulator

This post explains for the Voltage Regulator. This is an electronic device that is used to maintain a constant voltage level, regardless of changes in load or input voltage.

It does this by adjusting the output voltage so that it remains within a specified range.

This helps to ensure that the voltage supplied to a device remains within the acceptable range, even under varying conditions such as changes in temperature or load.

The Part Number is 78L33.

The function of this semiconductor is Positive 3.3V, Voltage Regulator.

The package is TO-92 Type

Manufacturer: STMicroelectronics

78L33 Regulator

Description

The 78L33 series of three-terminal positive regulators employ internal current limiting and thermal shutdown, making them essentially indestructible. If adequate heat-sink is provided, they can deliver up to 100 mA output current. They are intended as fixed voltage regulators in a wide range of applications including local or oncard regulation for elimination of noise and distribution problems associated with single-point regulation.

In addition, they can be used with power pass elements to make high-current voltage regulators. The L78L series used as Zener diode/resistor combination replacement, offers e improvement along with lower quiescent current and lower noise.
