Description

The NB2869A is a versatile spread spectrum frequency modulator designed specifically for a wide range of clock frequencies. The device reduces ElectroMagnetic Interference (EMI) at the clock source, allowing system wide reduction of EMI of all clock dependent signals. The NB2869A allows significant system cost savings by reducing the number of circuit board layers, ferrite beads and shielding that are traditionally required to pass EMI regulations.

The IC uses the most efficient and optimized modulation profile approved by the FCC and is implemented by using a proprietary all digital method.

Description

The Real Time Clock with 128-byte RAM is a peripheral device for use with various microprocessors. The W85C178 is designed to be a direct replacement for the MC146818A. The device’s function include a time-of-day clock, an alarm, a one-hundred-year calendar, a square wave generator, programmable interrupts, and 114 bytes of nonvolatile static RAM. The device uses CMOS technology and interfaces with most microprocessor buses. The device consumes very little power.
