The LT216 is a miniature 1-Form A solid state relay in a 4 pin SOP package that employs optically
coupled MOSFET technology to provide 1500V of input to output isolation. The Input of optical
coupler been controlled by a highly efficient GaAlAs infrared LED and MOS FETs on the output side.
A “1-Form A” solid-state relay (SSR) is a type of solid-state switch or relay that has one normally open (NO) circuit or channel. The term “Form A” (or “Form 1A”) is a standard notation used to describe the contact configuration of relays, both electromechanical and solid-state. In the case of a 1-Form A SSR, it means that the relay has one set of normally open contacts.
