Description
CR6853T is a highly integrated, low-cost, current-mode PWM controller designed for low-power offline AC-DC flyback converters and switching power supplies.
Built-in synchronized slope compensation enhances the stability of the system and avoids sub-harmonic oscillation. Dynamic peak current limiting circuit minimizes output power change caused by delay time of the system over a universal AC input range. Leading edge blanking circuit on current
sense input could remove the signal glitch due to snubber circuit diode reverse recovery and thus greatly reduces the external component count and system cost in the design. Cycle-by-Cycle current
limiting ensures safe operation even during short-circuit.
It combines PWM, PFM, and Cycle Reset Mode (CRM) operation with programmable switching frequency, synchronized slope compensation, low-EMI control, approximately 1.5µA startup current, and comprehensive protection functions to improve efficiency and system reliability under different load conditions. Typical applications include AC-DC adapters, battery chargers, open-frame switching power supplies, standby power supplies, set-top box power supplies, and replacement designs based on the 384X PWM controller family.
