DAC161S997 Datasheet – 16-bit Precision DAC ( PDF )

Part Number: DAC161S997

Function: SPI 16-bit Precision DAC for 4-20mA Loops

Package: WQFN 16 Type

Manufacturer: Texas Instruments

Pinouts:

DAC161S997 datasheet

Description

The DAC161S997 is a very low power 16-bit ΣΔ digital-to-analog converter (DAC) for transmitting an analog output current over an industry standard 4-20mA current loop.

The device has a simple 4-wire SPI for data transfer and configuration of the DAC functions. To reduce power and component count in compact loop-powered applications, the DAC161S997 contains an internal ultra-low power voltage reference and an internal oscillator.

Features

1. 16-Bit Resolution
2. Very-Low Supply Current of 100 µA
3. 5 ppmFS/°C Gain Error
4. Pin-Programmable Power-Up Condition
5. Loop-Error Detection and Reporting
6. Programmable Output-Current Error Levels
7. Simple HART Modulator Interfacing

Applications:

1. Two-Wire 4- to 20-mA Current-Loop Transmitter
2. Loop-Power Transmitters
3. Industrial Process Control
4. Actuator Control

LTC2627 Datasheet PDF – 12-Bit Dual Rail-to-Rail DAC

Part Number: LTC2627

Function: 12-Bit Dual Rail-to-Rail DACs with I2C Interface

Package: Tiny (3mm ×4mm) 12-Lead DFN Type

Manufacturer: Linear Technology, Analog Devices

Pinouts:

LTC2627 datasheet

Description

The LTC2607, LTC2617, LTC2627 are dual 16-, 14- and 12-bit, 2.7V to 5.5V rail-to-rail voltage output DACs in a 12-lead DFN package. They have built-in high performance output buffers and are guaranteed monotonic.

These parts establish new board-density benchmarks for 16- and 14-bit DACs and advance performance standards for  output  drive  and  load  regulation  in  single-supply, voltage-output DACs.

Features

1. Smallest Pin-Compatible Dual DACs :

(1) LTC2607: 16 Bits
(2) LTC2617: 14 Bits
(3) LTC2627: 12 Bits

2. Guaranteed Monotonic Over Temperature

3. 27 Selectable Addresses

4. 400kHz I2C Interface

5. Wide 2.7V to 5.5V Supply Range

6. Low Power Operation: 260μA per DAC at 3V

7. Power Down to 1μA, Max

8. High Rail-to-Rail Output Drive (±15mA, Min)
