FSV20A001 PDF Datasheet – Flyback Transformer

A flyback transformer, also known as a line output transformer or a high voltage transformer, is a specialized type of transformer used in electronic devices, particularly in cathode-ray tube (CRT) displays and some types of power supplies. Its primary function is to generate high voltage for the anode (accelerating electrode) of the CRT or for other applications where high voltage is required.

The Part Number is FSV20A001, FSV-20A001.

The function of this semiconductor is Flyback Transformer.

Description

FSV20A001 is flyback transformer for CRT television. Flyback transformers are commonly used in older CRT televisions and monitors to generate the high voltage needed to accelerate electrons towards the screen, creating the visible image. They are also used in other applications where high voltage is required, such as in certain types of voltage converters, laser power supplies, and some types of power inverters.

Features:

1. Switching: The primary winding is usually driven by a switching transistor that rapidly turns on and off. When the transistor is on, current flows through the primary winding and energy is stored in the transformer’s core. When the transistor turns off, the magnetic field in the core collapses, inducing a high voltage in the secondary winding.

2. Voltage Generation: The rapid collapse of the magnetic field in the core induces a high voltage in the secondary winding. This high voltage is then rectified and filtered to provide the required high voltage for the anode of the CRT or for other applications.
