Description

The 74HC688 / 74HCT688, 74HC688N are high-speed Si-gate CMOS devices and are pin compatible with low power Schottky TTL (LSTTL). They are specified in compliance with JEDEC standard no. 7A.

The 74HC688 / 7HCT688 are 8-bit magnitude comparators. They perform comparison of two 8-bit binary or BCD words.

Description

This is Quad Differential Comparator. This device consists of four independent precision
voltage comparators, which are designed specifically to operate from a single supply over a
wide range of voltages. Operation from split power supplies is also possible.

These comparators also have a unique characteristic in that the input common-mode
voltage range includes the negative rail even though operated from a single power supply
voltage.

1. Wide single supply voltage range or dual supplies for all devices: +2 to +36 V or ±1 V to
±18 V

2. Very low supply current (1.1 mA) independent of supply voltage
