Description
The 74ALVCH16244 is a 16-bit non-inverting buffer/line driver with 3-state outputs. The device can be used as four 4-bit buffers, two 8-bit buffers or one 16-bit buffer. The 3-state outputs are controlled by he output enable inputs 1OE, 2OE, 3OE and 4OE. A HIGH on nOE causes the outputs to assume a high-impedance OFF-state.
The 74ALVCH16244 has active bus hold circuitry which is provided to hold unused or floating data inputs at a valid ogic level. This feature eliminates the need for external pull-up or pull-down resistors. The 74ALVC16244 has 5 V tolerant inputs.
A 16-bit buffer/line driver is an electronic device that is designed to transfer digital signals between different components or systems.
The “16-bit” part refers to the width of the data bus, which means that the buffer/line driver can handle 16 bits of digital information at a time. The data bus is the path that carries the digital signals between components or systems, and the width of the bus determines how many bits can be transferred simultaneously.
In summary, a 16-bit buffer/line driver is a device that can store and boost digital signals of up to 16 bits in width, ensuring that they can be transferred between different components or systems without loss or corruption over long distances.
