Description

The 74LS00 is Quad 2-Input NAND Gate.

This device contains four independent gates each of which performs the logic NAND function.

A NAND gate, short for “Not-AND” gate, is a type of digital logic gate that performs a Boolean algebraic function. It is called a Not-AND gate because it is essentially an AND gate followed by an inverter or NOT gate.

The NAND gate has two or more input terminals and a single output terminal. The output of a NAND gate is HIGH (1) only when all of its input signals are LOW (0). In all other cases, the output is LOW.
