Description
The MC14400, MC14401 are all per channel codec-filter PCM mono-circuits. These devices perform the voice digitizing and recovery, as well as the band limiting and signal restoration necessary in PCM systems. The MC14401 is the same device, but offered in an 18-pin package.
A Codec Filter PCM Mono Circuit, often referred to as a PCM (Pulse Code Modulation) codec or PCM codec filter circuit, is an electronic circuit or component used to encode, decode, and process mono audio signals using PCM, a method for digitally representing analog audio. PCM is widely used for audio transmission, storage, and processing in various applications, including telecommunication systems, digital audio recording and playback, and more.
