A step-down regulator, also known as a buck regulator or buck converter, is an electronic circuit or device used in power electronics to convert a higher input voltage into a lower output voltage while maintaining a relatively stable output. It’s a type of DC-DC converter. The primary function of a step-down regulator is to efficiently reduce voltage levels, making it useful in various applications where you need to supply power at a lower voltage than the input voltage.
