The OZ9976GN is a high efficiency, Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) controller designed for off line LCD backlight application. It achieves high efficiency power conversion with minimal switching loss using Zero Current Switching (ZCS) technology. OZ9976 applications can operate under fixed or variable operating frequency with ZCS technology.

The minimum operating frequency can be set by either an external RC network or operate in self-oscillating mode. The intelligent operating frequency management circuitry extends Cold Cathode Fluorescent Lamp (CCFL) lifetime and offers design flexibility.

This is 40V, 0.2A 300KHz PWM controller.

The TL494 device incorporates all the functions required in the construction of a pulse-width-modulation (PWM) control circuit on a single chip. Designed primarily for power-supply control, this device offers the flexibility to tailor the power-supply control circuitry to a specific application.

The TL494 device contains two error amplifiers, an on-chip adjustable oscillator, a dead-time control (DTC) comparator, a pulse-steering control flip-flop, a 5-V, 5%-precision regulator, and output-control circuits.
