TSUMV59XU-Z1 Datasheet – LCD Driver Chipset ( PDF )

The TSUMV59XU-Z1 is an all-in-one LCD controller chipset. It serves as the heart of many small to medium-sized LCD TV mainboards, especially in aftermarket repair boards and low-cost display products. Instead of requiring multiple ICs for video decoding, scaling, and driving, this device combines these tasks into a single package, simplifying board design. Taiwan N threaded head, Universal TV driver board HDMI interface with USB port.

Description

The TSUMV59XU is  LCD Universal Universal TV board Chipset.

The new high-definition programs, U disk upgrade program, very easy to use, supports 8.9-inch -42 inch screen, the maximum support resolution: 1920 – 1080.

Features

1. Integrated Scaler Engine:

Supports input resolutions up to Full HD (1920×1080) and provides downscaling or upscaling to match the panel’s native resolution.

2. Multiple Video Input Interfaces:

Equipped with HDMI, VGA, CVBS (AV), and sometimes USB media playback support depending on the board implementation. This makes it suitable for a variety of consumer display products.

3. Built-in Audio Processing:

Includes audio DAC support and onboard amplifier compatibility for driving basic speaker outputs, eliminating the need for separate audio ICs.

Applications

1. Generic LCD TV mainboards used in repair kits.

2. Aftermarket universal TV driver boards, which allow technicians to adapt a wide range of LCD panels.

Limitations

1. While highly practical, it does come with limitations:

2. Resolution Cap: Typically limited to 1080p input and output. Not suitable for 4K or higher-end panels.

3. Basic Processing: Lacks advanced image enhancement features like HDR, MEMC (motion compensation), or AI upscaling.

4. Legacy-Centric Design: Interfaces such as CVBS and VGA are included, but these are increasingly obsolete in modern consumer electronics.
