The 1N4148 and 1N4448 are high-speed switching diodes fabricated in planar technology, and encapsulated in hermetically sealed leaded glass SOD27 (DO-35) packages.
A 1N4148 is a type of signal diode, commonly used in electronic circuits. It is a small-signal, high-speed switching diode with fast switching times and low reverse leakage current. The diode has a low forward voltage drop, making it ideal for use in digital and analog circuits, as well as in high-frequency applications. It is widely used as a voltage clamp for protection against overvoltage transients, and as a protection diode for a wide range of applications, including power supplies, power converters, and other types of power electronics. The 1N4148 diode is also commonly used in voltage regulation, clipping, and clipping circuits, and as a switching element in logic gates and other digital circuits
