The PSD family of memory systems for microcontrollers (MCUs) brings In-System-Programmability (ISP) to Flash memory and programmable logic. The result is a simple and flexible solution for embedded designs. PSD devices combine many of the peripheral functions found in MCU based applications. The CPLD in the PSD devices features an optimized macrocell logic architecture. The PSD mac rocell was created to address the unique requirements of embedded system designs. It allows direct connection between the system address/data bus, and the internal PSD registers, to simplify communication between the MCU and other supporting devices.

The µPSD323X Devices combine a Flash PSD architecture with an 8032 microcontroller core. The µPSD323X Devices of Flash PSDs feature dual banks of Flash memory, SRAM, general purpose I/O and programmable logic, supervisory functions and access via USB, I2C, ADC, DDC and PWM channels, and an on-board 8032 microcontroller core, with two UARTs, three 16-bit Timer/Counters and two External Interrupts. As with other Flash PSD families, the µPSD323X Devices are also in-system programmable (ISP) via a JTAG ISP interface.
