1. Function: This IC is primarily used for digital logic operations and performs the NAND (NOT-AND) logic function. Each NAND gate has two inputs and one output, and it produces an output logic low (0) when both inputs are logic high (1), and produces an output logic high otherwise.

2. Inputs and Outputs: The IC consists of four independent NAND gates, denoted as gate 1 (1A, 1B, 1Y), gate 2 (2A, 2B, 2Y), gate 3 (3A, 3B, 3Y), and gate 4 (4A, 4B, 4Y). Each gate has two inputs (A and B) and one output (Y).
